Theatre Policies
A few things to know before you visit.
We want your experience at the Lawrence O’Brien Arts Centre to be enjoyable, welcoming, and seamless. Below are a few simple guidelines and policies to help make that happen for everyone.
Ticketing & Refund Policy
- Contact us at 709-896-4028 for refunds, up to 24 hours before the show.
- If a performance is cancelled or rescheduled, ticket holders will be contacted via the information provided at purchase.
- Lost tickets? No problem — contact the box office and we’ll be happy to help.
Ticket Types
- Seniors: 60+
- Children: 12 & under
- Students: Anyone enrolled in school, college, or university, regardless of age.
Late Arrivals
Performances start promptly at the scheduled time. Latecomers may be asked to wait for a suitable break in the performance before being seated, at the discretion of theatre staff.
Photography & Recording
- The use of cameras or recording devices during performances is not permitted, unless stated otherwise by the presenter.
- Flash photography is disruptive and strictly prohibited.
Cell Phones & Noise
Please silence all mobile devices before entering the theatre. Out of respect for performers and fellow audience members, we ask that you refrain from talking or texting during performances.
Food & Beverages
Food and drinks are not permitted inside the theatre auditorium. Concessions may be available in the lobby before select performances and during intermission.
Children & Youth
All children must have a ticket and babes in arms are not permitted, with the exception of presentations specifically for families. Please inquire at the Box Office.
Coat Check & Personal Belongings
We do not offer a formal coat check at this time. Please keep personal items with you — we are not responsible for lost or stolen belongings.
Payment Methods
VISA, Mastercard, and debit cards are accepted at the Box Office. Phone and internet purchases can only be made with credit cards, not with debit cards.
